To collect these measurements, we used an Agilent E3644A DC power supply, set to precisely 5.00Vdc. This 5.00Vdc is then fed directly the +5V supply of the Raspberry Pi through the 40 pin header Pin 2 and ground via the the USB Shield.

For all test conditions, the same microSD card was used, and is loaded with the Open Repeater 2.1.1 image. The system is allowed to fully boot and enter an idle state with nothing else connected. As expected during actvity on the processor the current goes up, sometimes by 50% lasting aout 15 seconds but these numbers will give you a reasonable power budget estimate.

RASPBERRY PI 3B idle = 0.222A

PI-REPEATER-1X = 0.245A

PI-REPEATER-2X = 0.250A

RASPBERRY PI ZERO = 0.088A

PI-REPEATER-1X = 0.102A

PI-REPEATER-2X = 0.112A
