Due to an unannounced end-of-life component, this product needs to be redesigned. We are uncertain when it will be available for sale at this time
LIMITED OFFERING FOR EVALUATION HARDWARE, EQUIPMENT COMES WITH WARRANTY, BUT WILL HAVE DINGS/DENTS/SCRATCHES.
To help keep development costs down (which ultimately means better pricing for you) and keep the materials out of the e-waste landfill, we are offering up the prototypes we have been working with to develop this design. These are offered up as a complete fully configured 8 port setup at an extraordinary price. We are still working out the labeling method, so the labels are not necessarily final, but it will be clear what is what on the panel.
RASPBERRY PI 4 (4GB) BASED 8-PORT REPEATER CONTROLLER
Key Features:
- 4/6/8 Full Duplex radio ports that are independently configurable with a unique port personality available for each port and full configuration for linking in whatever configurations you require.
- Radio port interfaces are designed using replaceable cards that will allow you to start with as few as 4 ports and expand up to your required number of channels in sets of 2.
- Active High/Low toggle switch for CTCSS inputs (GPIO based CTCSS not supported in SVXlink at time of writing)
- Active High/Low toggle switch for COS/COR/SQUELCH signal
- Active High – input will trigger above 1.25V and will release when the signal returns below 0.6V
- Active Low – input will trigger below 0.4V and will release when the signal returns above 0.7V
- Flat Audio Filter toggle switch for converting pre-emphasis to flat audio available
- 12 Turn potentiometers for fine audio level adjustments
- 1U rack panel form factor that will fit in nicely into a standard server/instrumentation rack.
- Built-in GPS receiver with 1-Pulse Per Second (1PPS) giving you a stratum-1 time source capability, the most accurate time source you can get for ensuring your controllers clock never drifts.
- Connectivity to a standard GPS antenna is done through a powered (3V3) SMA connector.
- Flexible Power input that accepts power from 10Vdc to 25Vdc, 0.5A@12V idle standby
- 8 Channels of GPIO interface that can be used to interface to any 5V signal. This is useful for site monitors such as door sensors, temperature alarms, or many other binary signal sources
- 8 channels of 5V Analog sensors that can be used to interface any 0-5V analog signals. This is useful for monitoring analog data such as temperature, fuel levels, battery levels, atmospheric sensors, or just about anything that will give an analog signal.
- HDMI Interface – This is one of the Raspberry Pi video ports that can be used for accessing the box via console locally, or for displaying real time information (user supplied software).
- 3 ports of USB expansion (directly to the Raspberry Pi)
- LCD status display – This display is 320 x 240 pixels which is great for having a low power display for monitoring status. By default, this LCD will display the IP address of the box (if available at boot time), and the COS and PTT signal status of the SVXLINK ports. This display is run over I2C protocol with a Python scripted behavior so you can easily customize the information to fit your needs.
- Multi-staged Internally Fused (mini ATO style) power supplies to help prevent damage
- Radio port interfaces are designed using replaceable cards that will allow you to start with as few as 4 ports and expand up to your required number of channels in sets of 2.
